The Ordination of a new priest in the Ordinariate

Fr. Matthew Topham, 33, was ordained priest on Saturday 15th July 2023 by the Rt. Revd. Philip Egan, Bishop of Portsmouth and in the presence of the Ordinary, the Rt. Revd. Mgr. Keith Newton at the church of Our Lady of the Assumption and St Gregory, Warwick St, London. He will be moving with his family to St Mary’s, East Hendred – in the Diocese of Portsmouth – where he is to be appointed Priest-in-Charge. Fr. Matthew was previously ordained as a Church of England minister in 2018 and was curate at St Mary’s, Tottenham, before being received into the Catholic Church by Mgr. Newton in 2019.
